Price 1% art market
In 2018, Crédit Municipal de Paris joined forces with the City of Paris to launch an innovative artistic patronage scheme.
The winning works from the4th edition were exhibited from October 14 to November 12, 2023 in the Salle Saint-Jean at Paris City Hall.
The Prize has evolved for its 5th edition. There are now three categories: artists not represented in galleries, artists represented in France, and artists represented in France and abroad. For each of the three categories, two artists have been selected. The jury was chaired by Céline Poulin, Director of FRAC Île-de-France. The winners, who will exhibit their work in autumn 2024, are Mounir Ayache, Paul Heintz, Prosper Legault, Chloé Quenum, Elsa Sahal and Liv Schulman.
"The 1% art market prize is five years old. Five years that have produced some remarkable works exhibited in the heart of Paris. By now offering a greater place to emerging artists and painters, the Prix reminds us of the importance of supporting artistic creation in all its bold expressions."
Frédéric Mauget, Chief Executive Officer, Crédit Municipal de Paris
