Crédit Municipal de Paris teams welcome you by appointment to appraise your property. Specialized auctioneers and experts will assess the value of your object, in complete confidentiality.
After the appraisal, the Crédit Municipal de Paris teams can draw up a customized loan proposal. This loan, based on the appraisal, can be worth up to 5 million euros.
For the duration of the loan, you retain ownership of your object, which will be kept in Crédit Municipal de Paris' perfectly secure reserves.
Crédit Municipal de Paris applies precise and demanding rules to create the right conditions for each type of material, whether paintings, sculptures, jewelry or documents. Crédit Municipal de Paris also has a cellar for storing wines and spirits.

How to proceed?

Wooden cases store

First of all, make an appointment with one of our account managers, who will welcome you from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. They can be reached by telephone on 01 44 61 65 78 or 01 44 61 65 74, or by e-mail: Voir l'email, Voir l'email.

During this first appointment, we will ask you to present the following documents: valid national identity card or passport, proof of address less than 3 months old, proof of income, invoice for the item you wish to pawn, certificate of authenticity for the item.

A deposit contract will be drawn up with the Expertise Account Manager, and your item will be held by Crédit Municipal de Paris for expert appraisal. Once the appraisal has been carried out, Crédit Municipal de Paris will contact you to inform you of the amount of the appraisal and to offer you a pawnbroking contract for up to 66% or even 80% of the estimated value of the item, depending on the category of the item deposited.

The loan contract will be drawn up if the proposed conditions and amount are acceptable to you. If this is not the case, your object will be returned to you, subject to a storage fee corresponding to the duration of the deposit.
The contract, which is nominative, is for a period of one year.
The funds will be returned to you immediately, in the form of a bank cheque or bank transfer.

Your item will be kept in Crédit Municipal de Paris' perfectly secure storage facilities for the duration of the loan. Crédit Municipal de Paris has 3,600 m² of storage space and keeps over a million objects. You can get your object back at any time, by repaying the loan and interest. The loan is renewable indefinitely, subject to the agreement of Crédit Municipal de Paris, with repayment of interest and storage charges for the year in which the loan falls due.

Would you like to sell your item? You can claim the sale of your object three months after its deposit. The surplus from the sale, known as a bonus, is yours.

Have a work appraised

Do you own a precious work of art or jewelry and would like to have it appraised?

Crédit Municipal de Paris offers you an asset authentication and appraisal service, enabling you to obtain an expert report on the market value of your property, for insurance, sharing or auction purposes. Specialized auctioneers and experts will estimate the value of the item(s) you entrust to them.

These experts are specialized by field: jewelry, watches and modern paintings. Expert reports are issued by specialty. Please note that while the expert's report is issued in the name of the person who requested it, it does not constitute a certificate of ownership.
