Exhibition of the winners of the 2nd edition of the 1% art market prize

This year's exhibition of the five winning works of the 1% art market prize, a scheme run by the City of Paris and Crédit Municipal de Paris to support artistic creation, will take place at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, from October 2 to 31, 2021. It will be inaugurated as part of Nuit Blanche 2021.
Freely inspired by Witold Gombrowicz's novel of the same name, Les Envoûtés brings together five artists whose works were chosen in 2020 by the jury for the second edition of the 1% art market prize, chaired by Fabrice Hergott, director of the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris.
Curated by Camille Morineau, director of AWARE (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions).
The works of five artists - Louidgi Beltrame, Jean-Charles De Quillacq, Clarisse Hahn, Kubra Khademi and Louis-Cyprien Rials - embody fragments of a world both familiar and metaphorical. In a context marked by the pandemic, where everyone has experienced the permeability of the world and the fragility of bodies, these five "bewitched" prove the resilience of creative thought. They invite us to abandon our landmarks in multiple autonomous mental and visual universes, and to travel through space and time, between East and West, macrocosm and microcosm.
