Launch of the third "1% art market" campaign

On February 15, 2021, Crédit Municipal de Paris and the City of Paris are launching the third edition of the "1% art market" to support artistic creation.
For the third year running, Crédit Municipal de Paris and the City of Paris are joining forces within the "1% art market" scheme to support artistic creation. Since 2018, Crédit Municipal de Paris has been donating 1% of its annual auction sales to encourage the production of original works. The endowment amounts to €110,000, up to a maximum of €20,000 per artist. The first two editions of the "1% art market" were a great success, with almost a hundred applications received.
This approach is in line with Crédit Municipal de Paris's policy of patronage and support for artistic creation, which has been in place for over ten years.
The program will include an exhibition to present the winning works. The exhibition of the five works in the second edition will open on the occasion of Nuit Blanche, on October 2, 2021. It will be held at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, and will run through to the Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain (FIAC), ending on October 31.
Camille Morineau, curator, heritage curator and director and co-founder of AWARE (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions), has been appointed president of the jury for this third edition.
Artists can apply until May 3, 2021.
