Inauguration of the Cité Audacieuse

Creating the first venue in France entirely dedicated to promoting women's rights and gender equality - this is the project as necessary as it is ambitious that the Women's Foundation teams have imagined. Since 2016, the Foundation has been actively campaigning to defend women's rights and raise public awareness of violence against women. On March 5, 2020, thanks to the support of the Mairie de Paris, its project finally saw the light of day: the Cité Audacieuse has just opened its doors in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. A place driven by one goal - to progress together towards a more egalitarian society - and one motto: "Liberté, Égalité, Sororité"!
The Cité Audacieuse, housed in a former school, is home to dozens of associations dedicated to women's rights, as well as a media recording studio, co-working spaces and a committed café. The space is designed to welcome the whole city: associations, project leaders, activists and citizens alike.
Crédit Municipal de Paris is proud to have supported this fine project. Since 2018, the institution has been one of the patrons of the Women's Foundation, whose commitment and missions are proving more vital every day. With the Cité Audacieuse, these essential battles now have their own home.
