Allocated on a means-tested basis and according to the composition of your household based on your tax assessment, the energy voucher enables 5.5 million households to pay part of their energy bill or renovation work. If you are eligible, the cheque is sent to your home once a year. It is valid until March 31 of the year following the date of issue, and can be used online(https://www.chequeenergie.gouv.fr/), by post, or directly in person with professionals. You can now request pre-allocation online, by telephone on 0 805 204 805, or by ticking the "pre-allocation" box on the cheque before sending it to your supplier. The amount of your energy voucher will then be automatically deducted from your bill next year.
