The exceptional wine auction organized by Crédit Municipal de Paris on February 15 drew an enthusiastic response from wine lovers and collectors the world over. The 22 lots offered for sale, from three legendary estates - Romanée-Conti, Petrus and Mouton-Rothschild - fetched over €876,000. This total exceeded the experts' high estimates by 50%.

The lots offered for sale were among the most coveted in the world. A bottle of Romanée-Conti 2000, in its original wooden case, fetched over €18,500, while a case of six bottles of the same vintage went for almost €120,000. The 1982 Petrus Impériale (six liters, i.e. eight bottles), in exceptional condition for its fortieth birthday, sold for around €70,000. Finally, the four six-liter imperial bottles of Mouton-Rothschild vintage 2000 sold for between €16,000 and €17,000.

The remarkable result of the sale testifies to the attractiveness of French grands crus, which have seen their value soar in recent years. This figure is also due to the exceptional condition of the bottles. This optimal condition is the result of flawless preservation in the Crédit Municipal de Paris storage facilities.

Entrust your bottles of wine to a pawnbroker

Another simple, fast option requiring few formalities, pawnbroking allows you to obtain a loan against the temporary deposit of a valuable object (jewel, watch, wine, work of art, etc.). In the case of wine, the bottles are appraised by experts and auctioneers. A loan of 50-60% of their value can then be offered.

With temperature and hygrometry controlled and under strict surveillance, storage conditions are identical to those of CC ART's storage service. The borrower retains ownership of the item and can reclaim it at any time against repayment of the loan and interest.
