About the 1% art market award

The Prix 1% marché de l'art is a creative support scheme for artists working in the visual arts, sponsored by the City of Paris and Crédit Municipal de Paris. The Prix 1 % marché de l'art is an equal-opportunity prize, and since 2023 has been divided into three categories: artists not represented in galleries, artists represented in France, and artists represented in France and abroad.

While the City of Paris promotes the 1% art market prize, Crédit Municipal de Paris devotes the equivalent of 1% of its annual auction sales to it, in line with its policy of patronage and support for artistic creation over the past ten years.
